A bit of a secret to the rest of the world, Belize should be on everyone’s travel bucket list. It is home to a rich cultural history, crystal clear Carribean waters, and a thriving island life atmosphere. The locals treat visitors like there has been a friendship brewing for years. This makes traveling around Belize one of the easiest places to feel right at home. The mainland is a relaxing ferry ride or short puddle-jumper flight away. Due to the tropical jungle throughout the country, a chance for an exotic wildlife encounter is imminent during your day-to-day activities.
How do I get the most out of my trip to Belize?
With so many things to do, Belize can definitely overwhelm even the most experienced travelers. I encourage everyone to do a bit of research before exploring the area. With that being said, I have put together a quick little guide for anyone that wants to see what I believe to be the most unbelizeable places to visit.

I had the immense pleasure of going to Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand for my birthday. From feeding, bathing, and watching elephants frolic, to getting in a tuk-tuk to go to the hospital, turning twenty-three has been the most adventurous part of this trip, thus far.
It all started the night before Jessica and myself were going to Elephant Nature Park. We decided to take it easy and be lazy around our hostel all day so that we were recovered and well rested for the elephants. While we sat laying around, I noticed a pain in my back on the right side; I shrugged it off as a tweaked muscle and massaged it for a while. Weirdly though, it made me feel nauseous every time I pressed it a bit too hard. It was bothering me quite a bit and I couldn’t find a comfortable way to sit or lay down.
While attempting to sort out my damned muscle, my brain was going off in different directions. We had booked going to the park almost two months ago and I managed to convince myself that the bus service to Elephant Nature Park was going to forget about us and wouldn’t pick us up the next morning. On the other hand, I was so excited about playing with elephants that I couldn’t get this dumb, goofy grin off my face. At some point, despite my excitement and nerves, I fell asleep.
